Rule Proposal: Commissioner January 16, 2012

The Carolina Chaos have proposed the following rule:

Currently Rule III; Section A reads

“A) The Commissioner is the creator of the league.”

I propose additional language to this section as follows.

“A) The Commissioner is the creator of the league. When the original commissioner resigns, a new NERFL Commissioner will be selected by the ownership. All new commissioners must serve for a term of at least two years. Commissioners may stay in place for as long as they like, but upon their resignation, a new commissioner must serve at least two years when selected.”

Rule Proposal: Keepers January 15, 2012

The DC Nukes have proposed the following rule:

Proposed Rule (to replace VI – D):

At the end of the season, owners may choose to keep two players from their current roster for the following year. If an owner chooses to keep a player or players, they must submit their league fee by May 15th and the name(s) of the NFL player to be kept by July 15th. If a new owner buys into the league, they will be allowed to keep up to two players from the roster of the team they are buying. Owners do not have to protect any players if they do not want to do so. If a player is protected, their cap value will increase by 20% (drop the decimal point) of the value of the NFL player or by 5 points on the fantasy roster; whichever is greater. If a player is placed on IR, cut by a team, or retires prior to the NERFL draft, the owner of that player will be allowed to add a replacement from their old roster under the “keeper rules.”

Rule Proposal: Rosters January 14, 2012

The DC Nukes have proposed the following rule:

Note this rule is dependent on the result of Josh’s propsoal to reduce the team from 6 player positions to 5 player positions.  (A) will stand as the proposal if the Josh’s rule fails.  (B) will stand as the propose rule if it suceeds.

Proposed Rule (to replace VI – I)

NERFL Team Formation Starting Line-up Fromation:

(A):
1 TQB, 1 RB, 1 RB/WR, 1 FLEX, 1 WR, 1 WR/TE, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF

(B):
1 TQB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 1 TE, 2 FLEX, 1 K, 1 DEF

Any combination of players that fill these settings which can be set in ESPN will be considered valid line-ups.

Withdrawn and Replaced: NERFL Rosters January 13, 2012

The Conference Call Sluts have withdrawn their previous roster proposal in its entirety (meaning it will be deleted from the site) and have replaced the proposal with the following proposal:

1) Reduce current rosters from 13 total players (12 NFL players and a defense) to 12 total players (11 NFL Players and a defense).

2) Reduce the starting rosters from nine total players (TQB, 6 Flex, K, DEF) to eight total players (TQB, 5 Flex, K, DEF)

Rule Proposal: Off Season Trading January 12, 2012

The DC Nukes Have Proposed the following rule:

Proposed Rule (to replace VIII – D):

Beginning after the 2012 season (exempting this off-season), trades between teams may only occur where each team involved in the trade loses a single player and gains a single player.  Each team involved in the trade must declare the player received in the trade as that team’s keeper for the following year with the following exceptions to apply after the NERFL trade has been accepted by the owners:

A)  The player received retires from the NFL
B)  The player received is placed on the IR for the next season
C)  The player received is released or traded by his NFL team

If one of these exemptions occur before the last day to declare a keeper, the NERFL team may change its keeper to another player on its team.
