One more rule proposal withdrawn January 23, 2009

The Fugawi Frogz have formally requested to withdraw the following rule proposal:
Rule Discussion: Another Keeper Option
The Frogz have formally requested the withdrawal of the proposals because upon further discussion and examination; in their opinion, they lack merit and broad support among the ownership. Therefore, rather than continue a contentious and controversial conversation, the Frogz wish to remove the two suggestions altogether.
The League Office will accept their offer of withdrawal. The League Office will also respect the rights of the ownership and if there are two or more owners that want to re-activate either or both discussion; please make your comments known below. Otherwise, discussion on both of these issues will remain closed and will not continue forward to any of the voting processes.

Rule Suggestion: Scoring January 14, 2009
Posted by nerf20 in Rules Discusssion.4 comments
The Fugawi Frogz have proposed the following rule change:
Rushing: 1pt every 10 yards, no bonuses
Receiving: 1pt every 10 yards, no bonuses
Catches: 1 pt for every catch
Rushing: 1pt every 10 yards, no bonuses
Receiving: 1pt every 10 yards, no bonuses
The Frogz submitted this rule suggestion before the deadline but asked to delay the discussion while they reviewed the discussions of other proposals and came to the conclusion that (as part of an honest discussion about the debate between the WR and RB scoring) ultimately PPR had to be discussed.
Rule Discussion: Rosters January 8, 2009

The Kenosha Maroons have proposed the following rule:
Expand bench by 1 player – from 4 to 5 players
The rationale is that it would “create more flexibility with injuries and roster options.”

Rule Discussion: Another Keeper Option January 6, 2009

The Fugawi Frogz have made the following Rule Suggestion:
KeepersNERFL Franchises may keep two keepers per year.(a) One keeper must be designated as a Franchise Keeper and can only be kept once for a total of two years on the roster. Franchise Keepers will be labeled as (FK) on the official roster sheet to designate that they have to be released at the end of the NERFL season.(b) The other keeper is an unlimited keeper and can be kept for as many years as the NERFL Owner feels like the player is a viable candidate for their team.(c) Once a player is designated as a Franchise Keeper, they are to be released at the end of the next season.(d) If a Franchise Keeper is traded during the NERFL season, they lose their Franchise Keeper tag on the new NERFL franchise and the player can be reclassified by the new team at the end of the NERFL season in which they were traded.(e) Franchise keepers cannot be traded in offseason trading if because, by rule, FK keepers must be dumped at the end of the NERFL Season.(f) Any keeper can be dropped via Free Agency at any time. A Franchise Tag does not mean that a player has to be kept for the season, it only means the NFL player cannot be kept for more than once.(g) Franchise Keeper penalty. If for any reason a NERFL team wishes to switch their designation of Franchise keeper to the Unlimited Keeper, in effect circumventing the franchise tag; that NERFL team would lose the ability to use the Franchise Keeper tag on another player for three successive seasons. Which means that in the year of the switch, they would only be allowed one keeper (the switched player) as well as for the next three years (for a total of four years), that NERFL team would not be allowed by rule to keep a second player.
Rule Discussion: NERFL Rosters January 5, 2009

The following rule has been proposed by the Fugawi Frogz:
We are proposing an adjustment of the starting roster. Instead of nine starters, we would actually start eight starters each week.
TQB
RB/WR
RB/WR
WR
WR/TE
WR/TE
DEF
K
No roster formations. No illegal rosters. If you can fit a player into a slot, then you can run that formation.
This proposal allows for formations that mimick the NFL and follows the NFL format of a QB and five eligible recievers/runners.
It does not reduce roster size, which gives teams the ability to have a fifth player on the bench to account for injuries and BYE weeks.
