Pop’s Puppies propose the following rule:
Once the playoffs are over, a NERFL owner may replace a player on IR with ANY other available player {including any player currently on IR} until the keeper date. At that time rosters are frozen with only the keeper on an owners roster and all other players are then available for the NERFL draft.

This rule is ridiculous. This is a circumvention of the NERFL draft, as is our current playoffs IR rule.
NERFL stops playing on week 17. Any free agent moves made are frivolous maneuvers to grab guys for cheap.
with respect to my friend mr veeder you can not having some aspects of owning a team (ie trading after the seaon and not have the ability to manage your roster
if the seaon ends after week 17 then we should not be able to wait 7 months to pick a keeper. and we should not have trades. but we do. this ruke is merely an extension and clarification of what our rules do and dont say.
Off season trading is a joke. Be that as it may, we wait for keepers so owners know where free agents are moving, who the new coaches are and how players play into their NFL teams plans.
No need to have IR rule in the off season. The way by which I replaced a player shouldn’t be allowed but, some whined and opined long enough. I expect this to pass because I have learned how things work. still doesn’t make it a valid rule.
So, the one thing that I am not a fan of with off-season trading is the fact that a team could try to acquire a keeper without “loosing” anything in return. If one team has two possible keepers, there is nothing to prevent one NERFL team from trading his entire team for one of those keepers, since all players go into the draft once keepers are selected. Now, we could argue that a team would never do something not in its own interest just to benefit any other team, but that isnt a good arguement. I agree with Doug that off-season trading is a joke.
